Stroke is major source of morbidity and mortality in USA. Our aim is to provide management for secondary prevention of survivors of ischemic stroke or TIA. The program will specifically emphasize in education and managing different aspects as below.
Stroke modifiable risk factors
Interventional approach for large artery atherosclerotic disease
Medical management for cardio embolic events
Antithrombotic therapy for non-embolic events
Answer specific medical issues like arterial dissections, hypercoagable states, cerebral venous thrombosis, etc.
Neurorehabilitation: A team of multispecialities providing services to these patients for physical, neurologic, cognitive, psychiatric/psychological and behavioral deficits.
The stroke clinics will be organized at three locations, East office, Union office and Methodist South office by DR Hafiz A Elahi and Dr Marco Lopez.
